BOATS (2008)

Boats is a field recording using a hydrophone. It was recorded in the summer of 2008 during the Sea and Space Resort Festival at the Sea and Space Explorations gallery in Highland Park. A hydrophone was submerged in a small swimming pool in the gallery space and two battery operated toy boats were let loose on the water. The resulting piece are the sounds of the boats as they moved closer and further away from the hydrophone.
