CHINDOGU (2005 – 2007)

Chindogu are Clay Chaplin and Sean Rooney. They make live improvised computer music using homegrown software instruments. Combining pop-culture samples in a mix that’s by turns dense, frenzied, rhythmic and melodic, they are a strange implement, an idea that exists on the edge of reason. Chindogu: the art of the unuseless idea.

Sean and I collaborated and performed together for a couple of years, mainly in the LA and San Francisco areas. We managed to put together three tracks in the studio which were posted online a couple of years ago. Sean reports that they have been downloaded in the thousands of times which is pretty cool.
