I will be hosting and performing in the opening concert for the 8th annual Dog Star Orchestra concert series. The concert, titled Manipulated Field Recordings will take place on Wednesday, August 29th at 7PM at my house in Eagle Rock. The concert will take place on a large deck at my house known as The Deck concert space. The concert on the 29th will also include performances by Archie Carey, Scott Cazan, Stephanie Smith, and Sepand Shahab.

In 2002, Tom Erbe and I started the California Electronic Music Exchange Concert (CEMEC) series for graduate composers at CalArts, Mills, UCSD, UCSB, and Stanford to present new electronic and computer music works. Each year, a pool of pieces is used to program a mixed concert at each school providing an opportunity for students to travel and discover current compositional trends at each school. 2012 marks the tenth anniversary of the exchange concerts and the San Diego Reader recently wrote an article about the series. I’ve curated three concerts for the Sea and Space Explorations gallery in Highland Park. The concerts are part of the gallery’s annual Summer Resort events.
